FAQ

1) Does AeroPulse require an STC for installation in certified aircraft?
Although AeroPulse is marketed for experimental aircraft installations, owners and A&P's that have a more nuanced understanding of the difference between major and minor alterations may make the determination to install as a minor alteration with only a logbook entry.   I DO understand that there are, however, plenty of A&P's who are deathly afraid of thinking for themselves and consider everything a major alteration requiring STC's and/or field approvals.  For open minded types, please see the attached link for an opinion regarding what constitutes a minor vs major alteration.

An interesting side note:  Per FAR 91.205, c.4., unless the flight is "for hire" the FAR's don't even require a landing light...even for night flight!!!
